A professional home for trainers
Provide the base, patronage and tools that trainers need to deliver psychoeducation responsibly and to run sustainable practices.
Official registry of certified practitioners, master practitioners and trainers
About
A professional body for practitioners and trainers who integrate neuro-linguistic programming with the knowledge of classical psychology. We exist so that this work is taught well, practised ethically and recognised reliably.
Who we are
The American Association for Applied Psychology and NLP was founded to support trainers in running their education to the highest international standards, and to raise the quality of psychoeducation available to the wider public.
We set the minimum criteria that every programme delivered under the Association’s name must meet, while respecting the individuality of our trainers and leaving them free to adapt method and content to their audience. What unites our members is a shared methodology, NLP integrated with classical psychology, and a shared Code of Ethics.
Every credential we award is examined, co-signed by a second trainer, numbered and entered in a public registry.
Objectives
Provide the base, patronage and tools that trainers need to deliver psychoeducation responsibly and to run sustainable practices.
Offer the wider public psychoeducation organised to the highest international standards, with credentials that can be checked.
Develop and support trainers and educators who can raise the standard of psychoeducation locally and globally.
Encourage members to keep learning through continuing education, supervision and professional exchange.
Share with the public a clear, grounded view of how psychological growth can support wellbeing.
Protect the methodology from dilution by setting clear limits on what may be taught under the Association’s name.
Governance
The General Assembly is the Association’s highest body. It brings together members at trainer level, adopts the Statute and the Code of Ethics, and elects the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is elected by the Assembly by secret ballot for a two-year term. It considers governance, training and ethical questions, decides by simple majority and reports to the Assembly. Where a member has breached the Code of Ethics or the standards of the profession, the Board may issue a warning, require further training, or suspend or exclude the member.
Certified trainers deliver Association programmes and certify participants to the published standards. Every certification is attended and co-signed by a second active trainer.
The Statute is available to members on request. The Code of Ethics and the training standards are public.
